AlamoPROMISE Submission Deadline Extended Through March 26, 2021

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the recent severe winter storm presented unforeseen challenges for many of our students and their families. In response to the needs of our community, we are extending the AlamoPROMISE deadlines for current eligible high school seniors who wish to enroll for Fall 2021. This provides extra time for students to complete the steps to become AlamoPROMISE Scholars. All AlamoPROMISE Eligibility Milestones (Save Your Seat, Apply Texas Application, and the Financial Aid Application) are now due March 26, 2021.

AlamoPROMISE is the Alamo Colleges' innovative program that ensures tuition and mandatory fees at any of the Alamo Colleges are covered for eligible students, eliminating financial barriers to achieving a higher education credential. The program plays a key role in meeting our “moonshot” goal of eliminating poverty through education by ensuring that students achieve economic and social mobility to improve the lives of themselves and their families. At this time, AlamoPROMISE is open to high school seniors graduating in 2021 from one of the 25 participating PROMISE high schools.

This past fall, the first cohort of 3,000 AlamoPROMISE Scholars enrolled at one of the colleges of the Alamo Colleges. By providing more time to become AlamoPROMISE Scholars, we hope to ensure students can take advantage of the promise of tuition-free college this fall. Learn more at raw-cannabis.com/promise.
