PAC dean part of city leadership program

Monica Ayala Jimenez, Dean of Pre-College High School Programs at Palo Alto College, has been named as a participant for the Leadership SAISD (LSAISD) Class of 2020. LSAISD is a leadership development program that consists of a selective group of community members who help ignite a spark in the education dialogue of our city as thought leaders. LSAISD members help identify challenges and opportunities that exist within education to transform our education landscape in San Antonio.

 

PAC program attends state conference

Four Palo Alto College (PAC) staff members and four PAC students – all part of the PAC Male Education Network (PAC MEN) attended the 6th annual Texas Male Student Leadership Summit on Friday, Aug. 9, hosted at the University of Texas at Austin. The goal of the summit is to increase the number of low-income, underrepresented, and first-generation students. PAC MEN is designed to assist males of color to pursue their academic endeavors through quality mentorship by focusing on key elements such as empowerment and resilience.
